"Well worth the search to find this hidden gem. We enjoy authentic Italian dining and this was a great find. The fresh fish of the day was sea bass with crusted potato, which was nicely cooked and full of flavor. The gnocchi was prepared with fresh cooked vegetables in a light clear sauce, simply delicious. House white wine was delightful as well. We finalized our meal with fresh ricotta drizzled with fresh fruit sauce and connolli shells."

"Recommended by a local and was outstanding. Came for dinner on a Thursday night. Greeted by chef in a lovely setting. Food was outstanding. The daily antipasto was refined and creative. The Spaghetti alla Putanesca on point and the squid and escarole perfect. Highly recommend, we’ll go back for sure."

"We made a last minute decision to come here, based on other reviews, and so happy we did. No booking, so didn’t get to sit outside (make a booking if you want guaranteed outside spot). Had the penne pasta, the pumpkin risotto special, and steak to share. One of the best meals so far in Italy. We had the house Cicirinella red wine with it and it was really good, got a few bottles to take on our travels with us. Forgot to get a photo of the steak, but it was delicious as well. Highly recommend this place, great food, great service and very reasonably priced."

"What an incredible experience! The waiter was really helpful and friendly. The food was amazing. The value was best of the whole trip. They let us share a starter and pasta, even splitting one portion into two bowls. Then we had a main each. The house wine, which is specially made for them, is €12 and very good. A starter, a pasta, 2 mains, and a bottle of wine was €73. I wish i could give 6 stars"

"Cicirinella is the most amazing and delicious restaurant in Salerno! Quiet ambiance and wonderful service. The chef checked with us several times to ensure everything was fine. The risotto special was tasty, flavorful and just delicious. The tuna on a bed of escarole was the best I have ever eaten. When you eat this food you taste amazing different flavors - all brilliant and wonderful. The house wine is also just the best and perfect. All in all a great wonderful delicious place to have dinner and wine!!!!"
